Hello.

I have a client who is renting a pump today.

5 days post C-sec. First baby. Has a woman partner...who is very calm and
patient and supportive of the mother. Partner called me for advice/pump .

Baby not latching. No circ. Baby screams when approaching breast. Parents
using Dried Goat's milk as supplement in a bottle. I have questions about
this. Apparently it is organic (which means nothing to me really.., although
I appreciate organic products). Is this an adequate source of calories and
other nutrients for a neonate? It is fortified with Vit A, but has no Vit C
or iron. I know that the constituency of breast milk is very complex, and I
fail to see how even fortified goats' milk can be an adequate substitute,
but I may be wrong.

Please enlighten.

Kathleen
