We were looking to set up a regional milk bank in New England and saw a grant to do this. Upon investigation we found the funding came from Prolactata Bioscience. They would provide the equipment and funding, we would act as a depot. Milk would be sent to a yet undetermined "milk bank" for processing. There was no guarentee as to what we would get back in volume. As we dug deeper we found that they were looking to make formula from breastmilk. Needless to say we were very uncomfortable with this prospect and let it pass.
