Diana pointed out some additional stories to add to the boat
survivors and the cobra spit.  I seem to recall a painting from a
century or further back in which an elderly man is pictured
breastfeeding.  The story was similar to the one Diane related-it
was someone who could take nothing else and who was sustained on
human milk.  I heard of someone with metastatic CA who was drinking
milk (not directly) from a mom she knew with an oversupply.  I
recall a presentation at a LLLI conference several years ago (that
was probably where I saw a the painting referred to) about a variety
of nontraditional uses for mother's milk.  It makes sense-why should
all the benefits only apply to infants?
