It would be interesting to know exactly how low the thyroid dropped. We don't have enough experience to say how fast milk should come back-- I've heard fast and slow, and I'm wondering if the degree of replacement (not to mention the starting deficit) influences that. If the dosage is 'conservative' then it probably will take longer. She might want to talk to her doctor about whether they can do a little more to get her back to normal faster, follow carefully and then taper back. In the meantime, Ashwagandha is a good galactogogue with thyroid boosting properties. Same with Red clover and Milk thistle.
