I was the one who posted the question about Airborne. I also asked Dr Hale 
and this was his response:


Unfortunately, we do not have a lot of data on the transfer of vitamin A into 
human milk, although we have numerous papers noting that human milk 
generally contains 1-2 IU/cc. A dose of 5000 units per day is the maximum 
recommended for adults, other than for the treatment of various syndromes. A 
dose of 25,000 units per days would simply be too much for other than 
therapeutic purposes. 

You are correct, doses as high as 25,000 IU/day have been noted to increase 
the risk of fetal defects. 

Moderation with Vitamin A is really important, most importantly when you are 
pregnant and breastfeeding.
