Abbott doesn't need to do any optimization to show up first on google.  They
pay for the privilege.  That's why there is a light blue box highlighting
their listing.  It's the same for anybody who pays to be at the top of the
list.  They are fairly clearly marked as paid-for links.

i used Firefox this morning, as well as my iPod, and the paid listing comes
up both times.

Yuck.
