Just a note about how to determine the actual amount of calcium in a
food ...the % daily value is a per cent of 1000 mg. (the DV reference
value) For example, if the per cent calcium in the food is 30% per
serving size, then the food contains 300 mg calcium per serving. This
info may help you counsel moms on determining their calcium intake.
