I agree entirely that telling a mother who has had a stillborn not to pump
is cruel. I totally freaked out when the mother I was speaking with told me,
but this was weeks after the birth (in a hospital far from here). Locally
that would not be the advice, thank goodness. I can't imagine anything worse
than losing a baby, let alone losing the baby and then amidst all the
grieving, having throbbing, aching breasts that feel like they're going to
burst.
