I'm sorry- it was 1988 by Dorothy Munyakho in the letters to the ed. 1st letter. I made up the title from the contents :-( sorry about that. She was writing about fortifiers, but it applies to human milk in general IMO.

Dorothy's 2nd ethical question was : which babies will do without breastmilk so that mothers can sell their output to the companies? Will it be realistic to expect that women of industrialized countries will agree to maintain ample lactation for this purpose or is it not more likely that women in developing countries will be encouraged to sell their milk from which extracted components may then enrich the feeds given to babies in richer nations?
