Hi Heather,
Actually found a neat little website that allows you to convert
certain substances from weight to volume for that substance:
 http://www.convert-me.com/en/convert/weight2volume

According to their calculations, milk (I'm sure cow's!) comes out to .9262
fluid ounces for one ounce of weight.

So no, it's not exact, but pretty close...

Best wishes,
Jeanne

Subject: weights

I was doing a lactation consult last week and did a pre-weight and
post-weight on a baby. I realized that a =BD ounce in weight does not =
mean a =BD
ounce in milk. How is this calculated? One gallon is 5 lbs. So how do we
figure out how much one ounce of milk weighs? I could weigh it myself I
suppose and have my own little chart I guess. Is there a chart or other
formula for this?=20

=20
