My public defender ex-husband is looking for help. His client is being
charged with child abuse by the state for breastfeeding her slow to gain
infant. The child was not diagnosed with FTT. The mom was not referred to a
Lactation Consultant nor to LLL. She saw an Easter Seals nurse and was told
to quit breastfeedung and begin formula. She did. The baby gained weight and
growth is no longer an issue. The hearing is tomorrow to substantiate that
breastfeeding a slow to gain baby constitutes abuse. He took this case
today.

Suggestions, support, literature and advice welcomed.
