Dear Patricia,

I suggest you contact La Leche League. There was a talk at the conference
in the summer of 2001 which I attended, about milk banking and about the use
of breast milk for adults.

I can't remember the names of the lecturers.

One of them is a world-wide expert on this topic.

The web site is lalecheleague.org

I think you will be able to get the names of the women through the web site.

There is a click on the conference from last summer and if that isn't good,
try just writing to someone on staff.

I will try and find my conference booklet.

I can't imagine breastmilk being rejected. As far as I know the contents of
breastmilk from mother to mother are more similar and universal than not.
It changes with the age of the baby and a bit in relation to the mother's
diet, but not significantly enough to make a difference to the universal
needs of human infants.

My years of being involved with breastfeeding promotion has brought me to
think that if a miracle drug exists in nature for man it is human milk. I
would imagine the objections are more cognitive and social than otherwise.

Good Luck.
Donna Ron, MHA, IBCLC
