I was just wondering, how do you handle the baby nursing/milk supply while the mother is putting the steroid cream on the bleb? I had a similar situation here recently. Due to pain and concerns about baby ingesting topical cream, I suggested she nurse on the unaffected breast, and have her pump and discard milk on breast that she was applying the topical medication. She had an oversupply of milk so she had plenty for the baby. Is there anyway to safely wash steroid or other topical medication off the breast prior to pumping? Thank you for your help.
