Many adult patients recognize (including myself) that taking vitamins on an 
empty stomach makes them extremely nauseous and causes emesis rapidly.  It has 
nothing to do with GER (gastroesophogeal reflux).  As a pediatrician I 
recommend giving vitamins after breastfeeding, or mixed in a little breastmilk.
