I had a client call today that has one month old. I've been talking/seeing her frequently this month as she has been struggling to build up to her now 400-600ml/day milk production. She's done a great job of researching information and has poured over my copy of Making More Milk. One of the many things she's found usefull for her has been taking Fenugreek seed capules. She called me today though and said yesterday the Fenugreek seed capsules she got said "Fenugreek seed extract capsules" and they have a dose of 350mg/capsule listed (which is less than the "Fenugreek seed capsules" she's been taking). The person in the store told her, "the maximum dose of this extract capsule is 3 a day because they are so much more concentrated than just the seed".
I had to confess I'm not familiar with the seed extract capsules and couldn't tell her about recommended dosage.
Can someone give me information about the seed extract for lactation? I've search on-line, but nothing I'm finding lists specifics for lactation.
Thanks,
Rachel A. Miller
