Jenn,
I really am not trying to be cute here, but the evidence to me is this:
the baby is sick or has recently been very sick
the baby has sustained significant brain damage.
he is now in recovery/rehab and still quite vulnerable
he is not tolerating formula or it tastes and smells very bad.
only good can come from this baby receiving more human milk.
IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, MOTHER SHOULD RELACTATE.
