It would be great to discuss swaddling wrt Cathy Watson Genna's article (
http://www.clinicallactation.org/journal.php?vol=1&iss=1) about the
importance of newborn hand use during breastfeeding. Nancy Mohrbacher has a
good summary of the swaddling controversy/research on her blog too.

My homebirth midwives were big on swaddling and I think this may have caused
more stress than necessary with my first baby. We ended up restraining her
arms or swaddling her for most feeds (sitting up to breastfeed they "got in
the way") and it was rough--nipple pain for 6 weeks. Second baby was born
in steamy August and I think she got swaddled maybe once in her lifetime
LOL. I was excited to try more "laid back" nursing the second time around
and swaddling just didn't seem to be helpful or necessary. Much less pain
that resolved within a week and she never lost an ounce.

Also, discuss biological nurturing (aka laid back nursing) for sure!
