Getting to the breasts for breastfeeding was a challenge 150 years ago when
clothing styles were very complex. This is a website featuring female
clothing inventors who held patents. I was surprised how women were working
at getting patents on their garment patterns all at the same time all over
the US and in Europe. This was without communication or collaboration. Hope
it is as interesting to others as to me. There are a whole lot more
patents, but these links are on the topic for historical breastfeeding
clothing. Hope the .jpg drawings work.
