Dr. Lori Winter, the AAP Bf Task Force member for New Jersey, asked me to find
out what you all know about breastfeeding education in OB, pediatric, and
family practice programs. Her focus is on both classroom training and
residency experiences. She is planning to survey department chairs about
their curricula in breastfeeding, and she wonders whether someone has already
done this on a small or large scale. This is not to look for a comprehensive
program like the Wellstart curriculum. Rather is it trying to find out
whether lactation and breastfeeding are tucked into the curriculum in all the
places where they ought to be: Anatomy and Physiology, nutrition, reproductive
system, etc.

Please answer me directly as well as to the list. Thanks.

Chris Mulford, living in Pennsylvania but working in New Jersey.
