The problem I have with the term "child led weaning" is in reference to the
times when an infant strikes.  That is certainly the child leading not to
nurse anymore.  However, the mom needs to know it is not in the best interest
of the infant and that the cause of the strike, whether it be teething pain,
nasal congestion/illness, or whatever is prohibiting the infant from making a
wise choice.........and baby must count on mom to help with that choice.  So
in the instance of a strike.....allowing the child to "lead" is not a good
plan.  Hence, I like the term natural weaning.
