As the President of the Orange County Breastfeeding Coalition, in Orange
County California, I facilitated a meeting last Thursday that included a
demonstartion of the "Belly Balls." What interested me was the response
to the presenter, regarding the wonderful reception they have all
experienced while using these tools to teach other health care providers
or mothers. After this meeting, sharing of experiences, and seeing what
others have said here on Lactnet, my curiosity as a research has come
out.
If it is at all possible, I would like to conduct a very non-scientific
survey of anyone who has used these belly balls. Then, what I would like
to do is post the results back on Lactnet for everyone to see and learn
from. So here are my questions for this very informal survey:

1 - What is your profession (one or two words please)?

2 - Who has been your target audience for you when you've used the belly
balls?

3 - How did you teach about the infants stomach size/capacity before you
used the belly balls?

4 - How did using the belly balls improve your message?

5 - How well did the audience receive your message with the belly balls as
opposed to when you didn't have these visual aids?

6 - Do you believe that the belly balls are a tool that can be used
immediately or that they need extensive support in order to be an
effective educational tool?

7 - What is your overall satifaction with the belly balls?
    poor fair good excellent

I think this is it. Please send your responses to me directly. I plan on
presenting the results back to all of us at the End of October
(10/31/05).

Kindest Regards,
Nancy
