I used to teach prenatal classes for the birth centre I gave birth at, as
well as the Québec provincial govenment when I lived in Québec. They
fielded me all the English prenatal classes. ;-) I always started off the
class asking the moms (and dads!) if they had QUESTIONS they wanted answered
b/c so often people DO have something they want to know and it is hard to be
patient and wait until the end to ask a question. Or even until
"intermission".

Quite often, the questions asked allowed me to cover most of the material I
wanted to discuss ANYHOW, though not NECESSARILY in any sort of order. I
only ever went to one class where it was really hard to get anyone to speak
out and it felt almost like talking to a wall giving my class.
