In reply to Esther's post, Dr. Lawrence Gartner could help with this.  He is
chairman of AAP's committee on breastfeeding.  Aspirating vapors of
breastmilk boosts the ability of lung tissue to respond to infectious agents
because the living cells in breastmilk help the immune response of lung
tissue to viral and bacterial infections.  That's what I remember from
hearing him speak on this topic.
