We generally do lift the tongue to prevent the wound from closing down
(we want it to heal open) for a week or two after frenotomy. Waiting 2
weeks is usually too late.

The popping means there is still some tightness, but as long as mom is
comfortable and baby is getting well fed, we don't worry. Can't always
make a tt perfect with an office treatment.

Glad baby went back to breast! They usually do.

The popping noise apparently can last for several day.? I have suggested to mum that she waits for 2 weeks until the wound has healed before doing any thing. (would you all agree)
