   the aap classifies it as a drug that produces adverse efefects and should
be used with caution... does not say not to use.

   this comes from a sigle instance where the mother eas inserting, rectall
500 mg twice a day. her baby developed diarrhea.

   in studies with mothers taking oral doeses with from 3 g/day to 500 mg 3
times a day there weere no adverse effects on the infant....
