Kathy, my guess is that there are lots of nurses getting sued, because they
probably represent the largest number of policy holders in your pool. Now
-- IBCLCs may be getting throw in for good measure on lawsuits (when you
file a lawsuit suit, it is smarter and easier from a litigation standpoint
to sue EVERYONE within a 100 foot radius of the incident: the docs, the
nurses, the IBCLCs, the candy stripers ... and then sort it all out at
deposition time). But I suspect that you are the victim of some good
old-fashioned numbers-crunching that has been going on by the accountants
and actuarists at the insurance company.
