Michelle,

 

Absolutely, supplement the baby.  It sounds like mom has milk if she was
able to pump 30 ml/per breast with a Lactina.  I would encourage her to
continue to pump with a hospital grade rental pump.  Using an SNS, even a
homemade one with a feeding tube through a baby bottle nipple, will probably
work well and mom will get stimulation from the baby.  PLEASE let her know
that it is NOT her milk that is bad.  As long as she can pump enough, she
may never have to use ABM, but if she does, it is the calories that the babe
needs right now.
