Hi Judy and others,

I am curious to hear more about these 'permits'. Would you send me or post the link to the blog you were reading? I have an item on my dream-list: to have our WIC (a supplemental nutrition program for Women, Infants and Children) agency require that clients requesting formula sign a liability waiver before being able to receive formula. After all - surely informed consent is of prime importance?! So many moms who happily use formula have no clue about the risks. Would they make the same choices if they were better informed? I believe that many would choose otherwise.

Has anyone else come across 'permits' or waivers or something similar anywhere?

Fay Bosman, IBCLC
