*Surprise!*  Not a word about breastfeeding was included in the (quite substantial) document.  Read it here:

It discusses the need for preventative health care, and names tobacco, obesity, physical activity and immunization as "the four building blocks", but despite many presentations and letters (including some from people on this list, I'm sure), breastfeeding is not mentioned once.

I'm quite a disappointed Lactnut, tonight.

On a bright note, I was able to get in on a provincial radio call-in show.  Despite being enormously nervous, I got a few points across about breastfeeding rates in Japan & Sweden (2 countries that had been mentioned earlier on in the show)  in correlation to health, compared to Canada.  The host of the show basically put me in my place as a "special interest group", but hopefully, it made at least a few people think.
