I do not (yet) have Tom Hale's book, so thanks to Jill Meltzer for
raising the question about timing feeds post-medication so
baby gets minimal or no dose via BM. I read Patricia's post with
interest and said to myself "Aha!", but when I asked my med-tech
husband about Patricia's suggestion (drug metabolite going from
greater to lesser concentration), he said that he believed that
once it is bound to a protein, this osmotic (?) theory wouldn't
be applicable. Maybe a pharmacologist could give us a definitive
answer? If Tom Hale's book answers this question, would someone please
give a precis for Lactnetters who do not have access to his book?
I love Lactnet! So good to be back! Best regards to all, Judy
