Hi Valerie, you are quite right, on all counts - Margaret Hamosh states that
large scale production of human lactoferrin in transgenic animals has
started and warns about the careful consideration that needs to be given to
the benefits and possible risks to the infants receiving lactoferrin
supplemented formula. You may be aware of this reference, but if not:

Also quite right about
