Dear Stephanie,

If this mother who has PCOD does have problems with
her supply that are unrelated to breastfeeding
behaviors, I'd suggest she see her physician or an
endocrinologist & have her hormone levels checked.
Several hormones can be out of whack in a person with
polycystic ovaries. If she was able to conceive &
carry her pregnancy without reproductive-assistive
technology, she may not have any milk supply problems.

Sincerely,
Linda Madsen, RN, IBCLC
