Liability insurance can be purchased  inexpensively by individuals as a
Postpartum Doula. Cotterell, Mitchell and Fifer charge only $47.00 a
year for $500,000. coverage. The policy is for in home "Postpartum
doulas"  it lists our responsibilities as including "breastfeeding
support,  infant nutrition and hygiene" among the duties we perform for
a family.  Can you change the tile from "wic peer counselors" to "wic
postpartum doula"  it would then cover peer volunteers in the mother and
infant home.

Better yet, I dream of the day when Gov't grants are given for the
services of a postpartum doula in the home of  poor women covered by
WIC.  It would be for 3 hours a day for the first week or two in the
home.
