I find this problem frustrating also, I just recently heard a Pedi tell his
patient that she need not bother worrying about putting the baby to breast the
first few days since she has nothing anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????. When are
the Pedi's going to educate themselves on this issue, so they don't "First do
no harm".
Also, this is for anyone who has an answer. I had a phone call from a Mom who
is concerned for her frozen breastmilk. She states she does everything
correctly but when she freezes her milk she finds that it smells different.
Her husband frequently drinks her extra breastmilk and agrees it does smell
different but he has had no ill effects from it and states it just doesn't
taste as sweet.
I used to freeze my own breastmilk but I cannot remember it smelling any
different. Any ideas????
Thanks,
