Dear Jessica,

First - have some {{{{{hugs}}}}} for wanting the best for your niece.

Next, take a deep breath and continue to admire your niece's beauty and
notice how well she's doing on her mom's milk.

Now, try really hard to support, you don't need to agree with it, your
SIL's choice when it happens. Who knows, she might decide, by the time she
goes back to work, that it is worthwhile to breastfeed longer. On the
other hand, if she does switch to ABM, congratulate her on giving her baby
a good start.

Remember, one day of breastfeeding is better than none, one week better
than one day, etc. Also, by supporting and accepting her choice, your SIL
may be more likely to breastfeed longer the next time.

It's really important to try to accept her where she is now and have a hope
she will be more willing to hear you the next time.

Hope this helps.
