Out of lurkdom for a question. I've checked the archives and didn't find the
answer. Does anyone know if Cholestin (Pharmanex) is compatible with
breastfeeding? This is a supplement used to lower cholesterol. The manufacturer
said that because Cholestin may lower cholesterol in the bf baby, it is not
recommended for bf mothers. Of course, that sounds like an answer based on
supposition only. Apparently the supplement metabolizes through the liver. Does
anyone have information/experience with this?

Thank you.

Nancy Williams
