I just wanted to add my .02 here.  My "baby" is 5 (and a half as he would say)
and I breastfed him for 2 years.  When he nursed the last time, he hadn't
nursed in about 2 or 3 days, he just happened to see me topless as I was
changing clothes.  He jumped up on my bed, ran over to me and threw his arms
around me, latched on for about 2 seconds, then threw his head back and just
laughed  and cackled.  That was so funny to me and I was glad to have such a
great memory for our last nursing.  HOWEVER, I still terribly miss
breastfeeding - so much so that I dream about it frequently.  In fact, when I
see something on tv or watch a baby latch on during work, I still get that
"tingly" let down feeling in my breasts, even though I haven't had milk for
years.  I, too, would begin adoption immediately if hubby agreed!

I have just had to remember and keep reminding myself that for every "baby"
thing that my kids give up, there is a new experience or a new adventure just
around the corner, ex. baseball, scouts, spending an entire rainy afternoon
together with them playing monopoly, etc...
