Dear lacneters:

I have a mother who has been instructed to increase her dietary fat content
in order to increase the fat content of her milk..

My understanding from RL is that only the trans fatty acids and the
triglycerides can be affected... the trans fatty acids my eating more
margerine and less butter.

If one infact were to do this will you see an increase in the fat in the
milk? Has anyone had experiece with a mother doing this and altering her milk
enough for a increase to the infant?

  thank you,

     Patricia
