For some reason I am unable to access the archives at the moment, but I don't remember this
coming up in the last year. I saw a healthy, vibrant, 6 month pregnant woman yesterday with
what appears to be Raynaud's phenomenon of the nipples. She has a history of "cold"
extremities and mentioned that her painful nipple episodes are precipitated by cold and
usually improve with a warm bath. She also reported noting colour changes (from pink to
purple). I have not seen this during pregnancy before.

We discussed the use of warmth and Ibuprofen, Calcium and Magnesium supplements, topical
nitroglycerine and nifedipine (all from Bf and Human Lactation) - to be discussed with her
doctor.

Anyone seen this? What is likely to happen postpartum? Symptoms the same, worse, better?
Any further insight and suggestions would be most appreciated.
