Just heard a very interesting presentation by Maria Iacovou on her latest research, on impact of scheduled feeding, at Baby Friendly UK conference (#BFconf on Twitter; slides will be posted on BFI website).
According to my notes, babies who were fed on a schedule rather than on demand went on to have lower cognitive outcomes at school, had more sleep problems at 9 yrs old, and girls had more psycho-social problems. But schedule feeding mums reported better sleep themselves.
