Esther says:

<<I want to do a survey. In how many of your hospitals are you weighing
babies in prone position on the scale as opposed to supine or side
lying. They cry less and there is less flailing and stress signs, and
because they are lying still, it is easier to get a weight.
I started showing this to the nurses today>>

Esther,

What a great idea!! I'm going to start doing that myself. (So count me in
as a non-hospital person cottoning to your idea.) Just because we have
always done it supine doesn't mean we can't change when an idea makes sense.

I can't believe you have to do an inservice. My goodness! As I've said
before, *common* is the least utilized of the senses.

Geeze -- wish I'd thought of weighing babies prone.

Thanks!!!
