I vaguley remember that is has something to do with ADH and kidneys etc.
Drink to thirst but not beyond.  "Counseling the Nursing Mother" has a ref
on pages 115-116 with a ref to Dusdieker, LB et al,  'Effect of supplemental
fluids on human milk production.' J Pediatrics 106: 207, 1985.  Sincerely,
