Hi all,
Spoke to a mom who is experiencing very painful letdown. It seems that she has lots of milk and possibly over-active letdown. We did discuss some tips for the OAL including positioning baby more upright, mom to lean back with let-down and if necessary pump through 1st let-down. We also addressed the over-supply with block feedings. I searched the archives and found some good info for her, especially the fact that most likely the discomfort will subside once the supply is decreased. Discussed the possibility of yeast, but don't think this is the case.
Anyone have anything else to add?
TIA,
Judy in upstate NY
