I don't think we know how long it takes for breast involution, partial or
complete. I suspect it might be different for different moms. I just
encourage moms to go for it, and discuss how we are unable to accurately
predict the outcome. One thing if for sure, if the mom doesn't do the
relactation she will lose her milk/ so go for it. I generally feel the
earlier you relactate after stopping the better your chances.
