I had the same problem. I tried forwarding the message as instructed and
just got back a list of all the things the listserv tried with advice to
ask for help. Today I sent only the message

CONFIRM LACTNET

to [log in to unmask]

and received back the response "your subscription to the LACTNET list has
been confirmed". I thought I would post this to the whole list in case
others had the same difficulty.
