We use sterile water containers (pour the water out) for our premies mother's
milk. The formula companies provide them, of course--at least they do one
good thing. they come with a cap and should remain relatively sterile if the
mother doesn't touch the inside. Has anyone done a study with EBM and
storage in sterile and nonsterile containers?

We also never use half strength breast milk with trophic feeds (0.5-1cc), or
with anyother breast milk feedings, we alsways use full strength. We do use
half strength ABM if we have no breastmilk.

Do you have any references for this? It has always pained me to hear mothers
say that they were diluting the breast milk with water. I guess I should ask
the neos what references they have to support this practice.
