No one should have to suffer migraines without proper therapy.  I have several
suggestions.  First if possible, she needs to see a physician, perhaps a
neurologist.  Medications she can take while breastfeeding that are efficacious
in migraines (with due caution for the beta blockers) include:

Amitriptyline(TCAs), propranolol, metoprolol, Codeine, Imitrex, Fiorinal.  Do
not use the ergot alkaloids (Cafergot).
