I put the "free" in quotations because this apps might be free, but they are costing the users quite a lot: they are taking the moments with their children and turning them into moments with a screen.  Much has been documented about the decline in human relationships as a direct result of screens becoming more important.  *sigh*

I learned when my kids were young (younger than they are now, anyway, the eldest is 14) that I could either photograph a moment or experience the moment.  Now, I have more moments and fewer photographs, and I like it that way.
