Hi

When our son was 18 months we began giving him cow's milk to drink
with meals. This was our first child and we made almost every mistake
in the book! Luckily our Dr. at the time (DR. ROSIE with Homefirst
in the Chicago area) let us know that as long as he was still nursing
he didn't need other milk but told us that goat's milk was closer to
human milk than cows milk. He also said that no child should be given
cows milk before they are at least 2 yrs old. Homefirst is a homebirth
practice and are VERY pro -breastfeeding and LLL so I trusted
Dr.Rosie.
We began buying goat's milk (expensive!) and he liked it.
