Oh wise ones. What are other hospitals doing and is formula use going up because of new protocols?

> This whole blood sugar protocol  is beginning to frustrate me. I totally understand that there needs to be criteria and protocols when blood sugars should be done. But with breastfeeding babies it is very difficult to do it just before the next feed if they are wanting to be normal breastfed babies and feed off and on all day the first 24 to 48 hours or until the milk comes in. Has there been any research on totally breastfed babies who breastfeed on their own terms

The scare tactics by the professionals are really starting to overwhelm clients as well a myself. I feel powerless to make recommendations.
